JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Natalie Thomas of William Woods University hit the NAIA "B" Standard in the javelin at the Lincoln Open Saturday afternoon.

Thomas will be joining teammates Ellie Dimond, Katie French, and Quentin Webert at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
 
Competing in the Javelin, Natalie Thomas grabbed the title with a 39.20-meter throw. Susan Moman finished fifth with a 35.31-meter throw, and Alexis Clifford placed 10^th 30.90-meter throw.
 
Katie French placed first in the shot put with a 13.53-meter throw hitting again the NAIA "B" Standard. She also placed second in the discus, with a 38.60-meter throw. Also competing in the hammer, French finished second with a 41.38-meter throw.
 
Nia Hawkins finished 10^th in the 100-meter dash with a 13.11 time (PR). In the long jump, she finished second with a 5.36-meter jump. In the triple jump, she placed third with a 10.82-meter jump.
 
Emma Clifford placed seventh in the 400-meter dash with a 1:07.91 time.
 
In the 50000-Meter Run, Mary Grover placed first 20:09.09 and Maddie Mendell crossed the finish line behind her in second with a 22:09.94 time.
 
Camille Schroeder had a new personal record in the long jump with a 4.89-meter jump.
 
The Owls will compete next at the UCM Mule Relays on Friday, Apr. 15 at 1 p.m. in Warrensburg, Mo.
