Ellie Dimond and
Harley Nale hit an NAIA "A" Standard in the 3000-meter steeplechase at Friday's Concordia Twilight Meet. It was their final attempt to make it to the NAIA National Championships. Four others competed at the meet as well.
Ellie Dimond and
Harley Nale both hit an NAIA "A" Standard in the 3000-meter steeplechase while also setting new PRs. Dimond placed second with an 11:08.6 time, breaking the WWU record and improving her previous "B" standard to an "A". Nale placed third with an 11:12.78 finish time, marking her name second in the record book.
Nia Hawkins fell 0.35-meters short of the NAIA "B" Standard, jumping 5.30-meters.
Alicia Engelbrecht was the only woman to finish the 10,000-meter run. She shaved almost two minutes off her previous PR to finish in 38:50.52. Her time places her fourth in the WWU record book.
Quentin Webert competed in the hammer throw and tossed 52.86-meters.
Jenson Starr competed in the 5000-meter run and placed eighth with a 16:00.71 time.
