COLUMBIA, Mo. – The William Woods University softball team fell to Columbia College in the Championship Series of the 2022 American Midwest Conference (AMC) Tournament Friday afternoon. The team moves to 23-23 on the season.

Game One
The Owls fell to Columbia in six innings, 9-1.
 

• Emma Taylor went 2 for 3. She had one RBI.
• Mia Santos and Celeste Sermeno each recorded two hits.
• Ally Mahoney went 1 for 2.
• Jaden Swift scored one run.

 
Kalee Wall (5-9) was credited with the loss on the mound. She pitched 5.1 innings and allowed 18 hits and nine runs.
 
Game Two
The Owls took a 17-3 loss to Columbia.

• Celeste Sermeno went 2 for 4. She recorded one RBI.
• Jaden Swift scored one run.
• Alexis Hassler went 2 for 4. She had two RBIs.
• Ally Mahoney went 1 for 3, scoring one run.
• Taylor Bell and Annika Ramon each recorded one hit.

 
Ashlyn Towery started on the mound for the Owls. She pitched 1.1 innings and struck out one while allowing six hits and eight runs.
 
Alexis Hassler (5-3) took the loss on the mound. She pitched 5.2 innings and allowed 11 hits and nine runs.
