FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University men's soccer fell to Iowa Wesleyan University Saturday evening, 4-1. The team moves to 1-4-2.
 
With four minutes on the clock, the Tigers scored their first goal, 1-0.
 
Daniel Bateman found the back of the net 10 minutes later assisted by Breck McGrail to tie the game, 1-1.
 
The Tigers scored one more goal to go into halftime with a 2-1 lead over the Owls.
 
The Owls had an opportunity to score on a penalty kick on the second period but were unable to find the back of the net.
 
The Tigers scored two more goals to take the win over the Owls, 4-1.
 
Justin Sharkey was credited with the loss on the goal. He played 90 minutes in between posts and had four stops with three coming from the first period.
 
The Owls outshot the Tigers, 17-13.
 
The Owls travel to Hannibal-LaGrange next on Saturday, Sep. 24. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
