CANTON, Mo. – The William Woods University men's and women's track and field team competed in the Wildcat Open hosted by Culver-Stockton College Saturday, April 22.
 
Ellie Dimond hit the NAIA "A" Standard in the 3000m steeplechase, and Harley Nale again hit the NAIA "B" Standard in the same event.
 
 

Women's Track Events

• Ellie Dimond improved to an NAIA "A" Standard in the 3000m steeplechase with her 11:11.22 win.
• Harley Nale placed second in the 3000m steeplechase, again hitting the NAIA "B" Standard with her 11:26.82 time.
• Emma Clifford ­placed 10^th in the 400m dash with a 1:07.11 time.

 
 
Men's Track Events

• Dustin Russell placed second in the 3000m steeplechase. His 10:21.35 time is a new PR and moves him to fifth in the WWU record book.
• Riley Solan placed fourth (53.05) in the 400m dash, and Rodney Cherilus placed eighth (55.10).

 
 
Women's Field Events

• Allison Kenneavy placed third in the shot put with an 11.29m throw. She placed sixth in the discus with a PR 31.65m throw and eighth in the hammer with a 34.42m throw.
• Emma Clifford placed fourth in the high jump with a 1.40m jump and 12^th in the javelin.
• Natalie Thomas placed fourth in the javelin with a 36.40m toss.
• Ellie Emerson placed fifth in the javelin with a 36.00m throw, eighth in the shot put with a 9.40m toss and 10^th in the discus with a 25.31m throw.
• Lexi Clifford placed eighth in the javelin with a 29.10m throw.

 
 
Men's Field Events

• Daulton Melton placed sixth in the discus (39.71m), 11^th in the hammer throw (39.58m) and 13^th in the shot put (11.87m).
• Riley Solan placed 10^th in the long jump with a 5.62m jump.
