PARKVILLE, Mo.- William Woods University (2-9-2, 1-7-2 Heart) dropped their first matchup with Park University (6-3-3, 3-1-3 Heart) since joining the conference full-time in July.
The Pirates opened the scoring, tallying five of their six goals in the first half. Park added their final goal midway through the second half. In total Park University belted 29 shots, 19 on goal, and earned seven corner kicks.
Woods was unable to convert in the contest, putting three shots on net. In net, Zoe Hargis, reeled in 13 saves over 90 minutes of work.
The Owls are back in action next Friday at Culver-Stockton.
