Owls Secure Two First Place Finishes at Drury Open

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- William Woods men's wrestling, in their first year under world-renowned head coach Tony Eierman, continued their season at the Drury Open hosted by Drury University on Saturday.  

The Owls were led by former SLIAC Men's Wrestler of the Year Austen Wetzel who won the individual title in the 197-weight class as well as a familiar face in Elijah Brocksmith who took home the individual title wrestling in the 184-weight class.  

William Woods also saw success in the 133 and 157 weight classes with Braden Werdenhausen and Whit Nichols securing third and fifth place respectively.

Elijah Brocksmith- 1st place 184 

Braden Werdenhausen- 3rd place 133 

Jake Hall- 4th place 149 

Whit Nichols- 5th place 157
