COLUMBIA, Mo.- The Owls Cheer took home third place in the AMC Conference Championship with a total score of 77.82. This point total placed them securely in third, beating host Columbia College by 33 points and UHSP by 29 points.
"Both teams showed up ready make waves in the AMC tournament." said Director of Owl Spirit Toni Snyder. "Our cheer team fell in third to the top two teams in the NAIA> IN a competitive conference, our team worked hard to apply critiques quickly between the preliminary rounds and the finals; it worked in our favor. We ranked #1 among full AMC members, by a large margin, and are prepared for a great competition ahead in the NCA College National Championships."

Owls Competitive dance, in their inaugural season, finished in seventh place in the American Midwest Conference, with a total score of 67.38.
"Our dance team made a lot of changes to our routine this week, and we were able to see a lot of improvement in our scores from the previous competitions. With an attainable margin between us and the majority of our conference, we are prepared to take our judges critiques as we head to our first ever NDA College Nationals to see where we rank with the best teams in the nation."
