ST. LOUIS - Tanner Gillaspy picked up William Woods University's second American Midwest Conference Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honor this year, announced the conference Monday. Making it an Owls' sweep of the AMC men's outdoor track and field athletes of the week for Week 7 (April 21-27), Demario Wright received track athlete of the week.

A committee of athletic communications professionals selected the weekly award winners throughout the conference from a pool of nominees submitted by each school.

Gillaspy, a junior from Edina, competed in the Viking Classic and finished fourth in the javelin with a 38.2-meter (125 feet and 4 inches) throw.
