MELBOURNE, Ark. - Kennedy Dickerson fired a 4-over 76 in Round 2 of the American Midwest Conference Championships to climb five places on the 35-golfer leaderboard, finishing ninth while joining Alissa Olson in making All-AMC honorable mention for William Woods University. Team-wise, the Owls overtook archrival Missouri Baptist University on Day 2 to take fourth out of seven with a total score of 120-over 696 (361, 335), three strokes away from a top-three finish, over two rounds Monday and Tuesday at Cooper's Hawk Golf Course.

For the competition, Dickerson carded an 18-over 162 with four birdies - all in Round 2, including three on the front nine. The junior transfer from North Central Missouri College finished her first season in green and white with an adjusted scoring average of 89.1 over 23 rounds.

Allyson Hollrah, William Woods's Champions of Character representative, matched Dickerson's Round 1 score, shooting an 86 with a birdie on the 268-yard, par-4 17th hole. The Hermann native signed for a tournament total of 174 to tie for 15th.

Haley Baskett made it a pair of Owls golfers with quite the Day 2 rise, her 81 being a 14-stroke round-to-round improvement, good enough for a four-spot leaderboard leap and a tie for 18th. The Van-Far alumna posted a two-round 176.

Although she took 23rd, Olson played consistent golf with just a four-shot day-to-day difference, as the senior tallied a 184 (94, 90). Adding All-AMC honors to her Owls Choice women's golf MVP award this year, Olson registered a 90 adjusted scoring average through 25 rounds this season.

Rounding out The Woods's displays, Navy Setzer placed 28th with a 202 (104, 98) and Cheyanne Willis 30th with a 205 (104, 101).

"I appreciate all the women's work the team did this year, and looking forward to having them back next year, along with the incoming freshmen class, and joining the Heart conference," William Woods golf coach Aaron Murphy said.
