MARSHALL, Mo.- William Woods (2-5-1, 1-3-1 Heart) took the short trip to Marshall Tuesday night to take on the #6 ranked Vikings (6-0-3, 4-0-1 Heart). Missouri Valley, still undefeated in conference play, carried a five-goal lead at the 60th minute mark to a 5-1 final.
Missouri Valley tallied four goals in the first half, putting up 12 shots in the first 45 minutes. Sierra Hahn, the Owls keeper, hauled in five saves in the opening frame. Woods failed to convert any shots to open the game.

Woods finally struck gold when Sam Poehlmann netted her second goal of the season with just five seconds remaining in the game. Poehlmann, a 5 foot 3 graduate student from Columbia, was awarded a free kick from just outside the box and powered it just over the MVC keeper to score The Woods lone goal in the contest.
In the second half Woods put a total of three shots on goal with all but Poelmann's being rejected by the Missouri Valley keeper. The Vikings boasted an astounding 26 shots for the game with Hahn reeling in 10 saves for the Owls.
