Fulton, Mo. - The William Woods University Department of Athletics has partnered with Influxer, providing student-athletes the opportunity to monetize on their name, image and likeness (NIL) by allowing fans to purchase personalized merchandise.
Influxer is an officially licensed vendor, creating co-branded apparel customized with players' names and numbers. Through this partnership, Influxer will provide education and training on marketing, entrepreneurship and personal branding.
"Influxer is excited about this partnership with the Owls to bring a great NIL opportunity that benefits everyone," stated Influxer Vice President Keith Miller. "Brian Speilbauer and the administration have been extremely diligent in not only emphasizing the end product of the opportunity but also recognizing the business experience the process brings to student-athlete development."
Every student-athlete at WWU will have the opportunity to create their own webpage and showcase personalized gear that is available for purchase.
"We are very excited about our partnership with Influxer," William Woods Vice President of Athletics Brian Speilbauer said. "This gives our student-athletes a chance to earn some funds from the name/image/likeness in an easy fashion. It also gives their friends and family a chance to support them in a very unique and meaningful way. I look forward to seeing our kids take advantage of this opportunity."
