OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - In its final year as an affiliate member of the Heart of America Athletic Conference, William Woods University received 13 Heart Scholar-Athlete honors, across football, men's lacrosse and men's/women's tennis, announced the conference Monday.
To be named a Heart Scholar-Athlete, the following criteria had to be met: Have a cumulative GPA of 3.40 (on a 4.0 scale), have accumulated a minimum of 60 semester hours, completed at least five semesters and attended the nominating institution for at least two semesters before being nominated and have documented participation in varsity competition in the sport for which they are being nominated.
