FAYETTE, Mo.- Looking to build on their impressive performance at the Missouri Valley Duals last weekend, William Woods men's wrestling took the trek to Central Methodist to take on the Heart of America Athletic Conference Opponent in a dual on Wednesday night. The #14 Eagles jumped out to an early lead, eventually sealing a 35-14 win.  

The Owls tallied their first points in the 133-pound weight class, with Braden Werdehausen winning by fall. Woods again tallied points in the 174-pound class with standout sophomore Elijah Brocksmith earning the decision against #20 Brayden Forman.  

The #25 wrestler in the 184-pound weight class, Austen Wetzel, earned the last points of the night for the Owls. The former NCAA DIII All-American grappler earned a victory by fall against #24 Griffin Ray.  

The Owls hit the road this Saturday at the Drury/Maryville Duals hosted by Drury University.
