FULTON, Mo. – William Woods (5-17, 3-11 Heart) struggled as they fell to Central Methodist (14-7, 8-5 Heart) 97-65.
The Owls would struggle on both sides of the ball as the Eagles would jump out to a strong lead over the Owls. With the ball not falling their way, the Eagles would continue to grow their lead over the Owls. William Woods would head into the half down 49-28 to Central Methodist.
The Owls would find their scoring stride as they would bring the lead down to just 10 before the Eagles would respond with a run of their own. Every time the Owls would make a run, the Eagles would do the same, leaving the Owls with no answer. Despite the fight in the second half, the Owls would fall to Central Methodist 97-65.
Big man
Brock Davis led the scoring charge with a 19 points 10 rebound double-double for the Owls.
Isaiah Payne would also bring 10 points from the bench while
Demarco Buchanan hauled in 11 rebounds.
Owls are back in action Saturday as they host Graceland for more Heart action at a 4:00 p.m. tip.
