FULTON, Mo. - A bittersweet day for three of William Woods men's wrestling members ended in triumph as the Owls handled business in Anderson Arena against HAAC opponent William Penn.
Michael Moore-Fondren,
Kael Glenn, and
Xander Sederburg are leaving the program at the end of the year, but not before they make their mark.
Braden Werdehausen opened the proverbial floodgates for the Owls during the 133-pound match, managing to win by fall in just 53 seconds.
Glenn was given his chance next, earning his stripes in what would end up being a hard-fought and hard-earned win by decision in the 141-pound bout. The senior grappler left it all on the mat.
#13 wrestler in the 184 weight class,
Austen Wetzel, put William Woods over the edge late into the dual, earning a win by technical fall for the Owls.
By the time the dust settled, the Woods finished off another conference win 36-17. William Woods is back in action Saturday, February 7th in Davenport, Iowa in a match against St. Ambrose.
