Played at Illinois Community College. Burgard played in 32 games her sophomore year, starting 29, helping the Cougars to a 25-7 record.  The five-foot-eleven forward, led the team in scoring averaging 11.2 points per game. She averaged 5.2 rebounds per game to finish third on the team per game. Burgard shot 47.3 percent from the floor during the season. Burgard scored a season-high 25 points, on 12-of-15 shooting, against South Suburban CC on December 28th. During her freshman year for the Cougars, she averaged 3.3 points and 2.6 points per game. She shot 33.3 percent from the floor as the Cougars went 32-5 on the season.
