(FULTON, Mo., Oct. 29)--The William Woods University volleyball team lost 3-0 to visiting Columbia College 3-0 Friday night in Anderson Arena. The sixth-ranked Cougars defeated the Owls 25-20, 25-11 and 26-24.
Junior
Lauren Fleming (Granbury, Texas) led the Owls with seven kills. Senior
Brianna Rodriguez (Camdenton, Mo.) added six kills in the loss.
Sophomore
Emily Nolte (Higginsville, Mo.) had a team-high 13 assists for William Woods. Rodriguez and sophomore
Amanda Henley recorded 14 and 13 digs respectively.
Columbia improves to 31-2 on the season and 13-0 in the AMC. William Woods falls to 14-19 on the year and 6-8 in conference play.
The Owls will return to action on November 2. WWU will travel to Park University for another AMC match-up. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 pm. William Woods will conclude its regular season on November 4 at AMC foe Stephens College.
