Owls Host Bulldogs

The William Woods University volleyball team will host Benedictine University-Springfield this evening.  The American Midwest Conference match begins at 7 pm.

The Owls and Bulldogs played each other on Monday night in Springfield, Ill.  The Owls defeated BU-Springfield 3-0 (25-15, 25-9, 25-15).
 
WWU enters tonight's AMC match 12-16 on the season and 5-6 in the AMC.  Sarah Wehmeyer recorded 24 assists in the victory over the Bulldogs Monday night.  Kristen Bauer led the Owls with 10 kills.  Emily Nolte had a team-high 13 digs.  Lauren Fleming tallied five blocks in the victory.  The Owls will host back-to-back AMC matches this week.  WWU will host Park University tomorrow night at 7 pm in Anderson Arena.
 
Benedictine University-Springfield enters tonight's match 8-17 on the season and 2-8 in the AMC.  This is the first season for the Bulldogs as a member of the American Midwest Conference.
 
The Owls have seven regular season matches remaining on the schedule.  Five of those seven matches are AMC matches.
 
The William Woods University volleyball team is hosting a “Dig Pink” event tomorrow evening.  We encourage you to come to Anderson Arena and help the Owls raise money and awareness in the fight against cancer.
