The Owls Hit The Road For Two Games In Florida On Sunday

DAYTONA BEACH, Fl.-The (RV) William Woods University softball team will head on the road for a doubleheader on Sunday, as they will take on Embry-Riddle University (Fla.) in Daytona Beach, first pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET (3.pm. CT).

The Owls (11-10; 4-0 AMC) are coming into this game riding a season high six game-winning streak. In those six games, the Owls are hitting .392 as a team, amassing 60 hits, while they have out scored their opponents 50-13.

On the six game win streak, Hannah Campbell is leading the way hitting .538 from the plate, going 7-for-13, tallying four RBI's, and nabbing five stolen bases, while Kacey Scharnhorst has gone 8-for-18 and plating a team-high 10 RBI's. Sydnae Hatton has also had a strong display offensively, hitting .400 from the plate.

On the mound, the stellar duo of Bre Logan and Allison Waskow have dominated in the teams last six games, only giving up 13 runs in 36 innings pitching combined. Logan, has collected a no hitter, along with 28 strike outs and only give up nine hits. Waskow, has recorded 19 strikeouts, while only allowing eight hits.

Emery-Riddle University (13-11; 1-1 Sun Conference) are coming into this game winners in four of their last five games as they have outscored their opponents 37 to 6 in that stretch.

The Eagles are hitting .266 (138-for-519) on the season and are led in hitting by Anna Battison, who is hitting .391 (25-for-64), with one double, and five RBI.

Kailah Rain is hitting .328 (19-for-58), with two triples, and ten RBI. Robi Zimmerman is the only other hitter over .300, as she is hitting .304 (17-for-56), with three doubles, and three homeruns.

The ERU pitching staff is led by Zimmerman, who is coming into this game with a record of five wins and five loses in 11 games, all starts. She has thrown seven complete games, with 44 strikeouts, 25 walks, allowing 41 runs (32 earned runs), over 61.2 innings pitched.

Raquelli Bianco is 6-5 with an ERA of 4.38, in 11 appearances, all starts. She has pitched 60.2 innings, giving up 61 runs (38 earned runs), with 43 strikeouts and 15 walks on the season.
