FULTON, Mo. - The William Woods University Women's Basketball team hosts Missouri Baptist for an AMC contest on Thursday, December 1 at 5:30 at Anderson Arena. This will be the conference home opener for the Owls.
ABOUT THE OWLS
- The Owls enter the contest with an overall record of 4-3 and an AMC record of 1-1 falling to Lyon College, 78-64 and gaining a win over Central Baptist, 86-79
- WWU is coming off a non-conference victory over NCAA Division III Westminster, 73-61. Against the Blue Jays, the Owls hit a season-high 10 three-pointers in the contest

Jasmine Brown is leading the Owls in four categories. She leads in points averaging 13.1 points per game, rebounds (53), steals (12), and blocks (9) which ranks her 31st in the nation

April Gebke leads in assists with 23 on the season. Gebke is averaging 12.1 points per game, has 20 rebounds, two blocks, and a total of 29 field goals made

Kelsey Scherder is ranked 32nd in three-point field goal percentage (0.429). She also has 26 rebounds and is averaging 12.4 points per game
- As a team, the Owls are ranked 13th in defensive rebounds with 30.7 per game, ranked 23rd in blocks with 25, and is 24th in assists with 15.571 assists per game
- The Owls are shooting 29.5 percent from the three-point line on the season. The Owls have hit 41 threes on the season.

ABOUT THE SPARTANS
- The Spartans enter the contest with a 2-3 overall record and a 1-0 AMC conference record. Â Missouri Baptist lone conference win came against Stephens College, 61-56
- Missouri Baptist is coming off a loss to NCAA Division II Southwest Baptist University on November 22nd. The Spartans were defeated 81-47.
- Kennedy Smith leads the Spartans in steals (8) and blocks (3). Smith also has 12 rebounds and 29 points on the season
- Briya Wilborn and Shaylen Robinson leads the Spartans in points with 9.20 points per game
- As a team, the Spartans are ranked 6th in the nation in three-point field goal percentage defensive (0.226). They are also ranked 25th in offensive rebounds with 14.8 per game
- Amanda Rowden and Chantelle Smith rank in the top 30 in the NAIA for Assists/Turnover Ratio. Rowden is averaging 3.00 assists/turnover ratio and Smith is right behind with an assists/turnover ratio of 2.50.
