FULTON, Mo. — The William Woods University Softball team looks to snap an eight game losing streak on Tuesday when they play Baker University (Kan.) in a non-conference game. The doubleheader is scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
The Owls (8-13, 0-4 AMC), are looking to snap an eight game losing streak when they host Baker in a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday. This past weekend, the Owls were swept by Williams Baptist College and Freed-Hardeman University.

On the season, William Woods holds a team batting average of .297, with 85 runs scored, 28 doubles, three triples, six home runs and 80 RBI.

As a team, the Owls have the third best ERA in the American Midwest Conference with 3.37. WWU is only allowing teams to hit .253 on the season with 22 extra base hits. The Owls pitching staff has struck out 87 batters on the season.
On Tuesday, the Owls will face Baker University Wildcats in a doubleheader. The Wildcats entered Monday with a record of 17-10 and are playing Stephens College on March 14th prior to playing the Owls. Prior to Monday's games, the Wildcats were on a two game winning streak.
As a team, the Wildcats are hitting .292 on the season and have collected 136, including 45 doubles, eight tirples and five home runs. Leading the way is Stephanie Cardona, who is hitting .434 on the season. Right behind her is Lucy Staats, who is hitting .409.
On the mound, Baker has an ERA of 2.85 on the season and are allowing opponents to hit .290 on the season. Olivia Brees has the lowest ERA on the team with an ERA of 1.78 in 86.2 innings. She leads the team in innings pitched, ERA, and strikeouts.
