Owls Win Third Straight Match

Box Score GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. – The William Woods University Men's Tennis team won its third straight match on Saturday afternoon as they defeated Southwestern College, 9-0.
 
Like the day before, the Owls came out and took all three points in doubles action. Christian Barbieri and Carlos Clerins won 8-2, in no. 3 doubles. Johnnie Carmichael and Stefan Simic won 8-5, in no. 2 doubles and David Barbieri and Marcos Vinicius Prates Constantino took No. 1 doubles, 8-6.
 
The Owls continued to dominate as they won every match in singles action. C. Barbieri and Carlos Clerins won in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0. Constantino won no. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-1.
 
Also winning for the Owls was D. Barbieri in no. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-4. Rounding out the wins in singles was Carmichael and Simic in fourth and fifth singles. Carmichael won 6-3, 6-1, while Simic won 6-1, 6-4.
 
The Owls return to action on Monday, March 21 at 4 p.m. when they travel to St. Charles, Mo. to face Lindenwood University.
