FULTON, Mo. — The William Woods University Softball team hosts Park University (Mo.) in an American Midwest Conference (AMC) matchup on Friday afternoon. The doubleheader is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.

The Owls (11-16, 2-6 AMC), are looking to get back on the winning track after dropping game two of a doubleheader to Lyon College on March 20th. The Owls have split its last two conference doubleheaders.
 
On the season, William Woods holds a team batting average of .291, with 114 runs scored, 38 doubles, five triples, seven home runs and 105 RBI.
 
Leading the way is Hillary Hentges as she is hitting .373 (19-for-51) on the season. She has two doubles and collected six RBI on the season. Following Hentges is Beth Begemann, who is hitting .343 (23-for-67) on the season with seven doubles, one triple and two home runs while driving in 12 runs.
 
Inside the circle, Allison Waskow leads the team with an earned run average (ERA) 2.82 in her 14 games she has appeared in. Waskow has pitched a team-high 79.1 innings this year while picking up four wins. Sierra Jacques comes into Friday's games with an ERA of 3.50 and a team-high five wins on the season.
 
As a team, the Owls hold an ERA of 3.50. WWU is only allowing teams to hit .258 on the season with 27 extra base hits. The Owls pitching staff has struck out 106 batters on the season.

Park enters Friday's match-up with a record of 11-11-1 on the season. The Pirates have dropped its last two contests as on March 22nd, the Pirates hosted Central Methodist and were swept.

As a team, the Pirates are hitting .305 on the season and have collected 201 hits, including 32 doubles, three triples and ten home runs. Leading the way is Mallory Land, who is hitting .377 on the season. Right behind her is Britanee Willard, who is hitting .318. Land leads the team in RBI's on the season as she as driven in 19 runs and has seven doubles. Wallard leads the team with 15 stolen bases on the season.

On the mound, Park has an ERA of 3.52 on the season and are allowing opponents to hit .284 on the season. Scotlin Hurley has the lowest ERA on the team with an ERA of 2.61 in 48.1 innings. Allie Reynolds leads the team with five wins and innings pitched (65.2) and strikeouts (48).
