CONWAY, Ark. – The William Woods University Volleyball team improved to 3-0 in the American Midwest Conference (AMC) action with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-7, 25-18) against Central Baptist College on Saturday afternoon.

The Owls were led by
Victoria Day, who had 11 kills in the match and was the only Owl in double figures for kills.
Stephanie Davis and
Tory Wiley finished with seven kills each.
Brittney Engelbrecht dished out 39 assists in the match, while
Jessica Jensen led the way in digs with 25.

WWU returns to action on Friday, September 30th when they host Lyon College at Anderson Arena. The match starts at 7 p.m.

Game Flow
The Owls came out swinging in the first set as they compiled a hitting percentage of .238, while holding the Mustangs to a negative hitting percentage. The Owls used 13 kills and nine Central Baptist attack errors to come away with a 25-15 first set victory.

William Woods came out on fire in the second set as they claimed the set, 25-7. The Owls had a hitting percentage of .500 in the set including 12 kills. Central Baptist came away with only one kill in the match and had eight attack errors for its second straight set with a negative attack percentage.

The Owls closed out the match as they swept the Mustangs. In the third set, the Owls hit .182 for the set as they had 13 kills and nine attack errors. However, the Mustangs also recorded nine attack errors in the set. The Owls came away with a 25-18 third set victory for its second straight sweep.
