Box Score TOPEKA, Kan. – The William Woods University men's tennis team dropped its second straight match on Wednesday afternoon. The Owls were defeated by Washburn University, 6-3. Washburn is ranked No. 36 in the latest NCAA Division II Tennis Poll.
 
In doubles action, the Owls fell behind early as they dropped No. 3 doubles first. No. 2 doubles team of Johnnie Carmichael and Oscar Barreiro tied the match for the Owls at 1-1 after taking No. 2 doubles. No. 1 doubles went to Washburn and after doubles the Owls trailed 2-1. Doubles results are listed below:

2. Johnnie Carmichael and Oscar Barreiro def. Matt Barlow and Tommy Hunter, 8-4

Trailing 2-1 heading to singles, the Owls found themselves down 4-1 after Washburn took No. 4 and No. 5 doubles. The Owls trimmed the lead down to one, 4-3, after Johnnie Carmichael (No. 2) and Christian Barbieri (No. 1) won their singles matches. Christian Barbieri's win came against the 31st best player in NCAA Division II. However, those would be the last points for the Owls as they would fall 6-3. Below are singles results:
