FULTON, Mo. —The William Woods University softball team will continue on with AMC play as they host Lyon College on Friday, March 24 in a doubleheader at 10 a.m. and noon.

About the Owls
- The Owls have an overall record of 16-13 with an AMC record of 2-4
- WWU is coming off a sweep of the Stars of Stephen College (22-1, 7-5)
- Offensively, the Owls are ranked third in triples with 13, with Beth Begemann and Hannah Campbell leading the way as they are both tied at three a piece on the season, which is 17th best in the NAIA
- Campbell is also leading the Owls in hits with 42 on the season. Campbell has hit two home runs on the season, including a grand slam against Stephens College March 21st

- Lyon comes into the contest after taking two from Hannibal-LaGrange and falling to Central Arkansas, 13-4, on Wednesday
- Offensively, the Scotts are hitting a .294 and Katelyn Thomason leads the Scotts in both batting average, .388, and with 19 hits. She is also the leader for the Scots in RBIs with 19
- The Scots pitching staff has an ERA of 2.85 compared to opponent 3.71
- Nicole Sanders leads in ERA holding a 2.51 and has collected 71 strikeouts, averaging 6.37 per game
- The Scotts have scored 122 runs compared to opponent 75 runs. They have hit six homeruns and have only struck out 75 times at the plate
