Box Score WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - The William Woods University men's tennis team opened up its spring break trip with a 5-1 victory over University of the Cumberlands. The win for the Owls improves WWU to 3-2 on the season.
 
William Woods jumped out to an early 2-1 lead in doubles action. The Owls took No. 2 and No. 3 doubles on the day. In No. 2 doubles, Johnnie Carmichael and Oscar Barreiro defeated Tanishq Mahendu and Luis Westrick, 8-4. Doubles No. 3 the team of Christopher Vleeming Ortiz and David Barbieri won, 8-6. WWU only dropped No 1 doubles by a score of 9-7. Full double results can be found here:

The Owls wasted little time putting the Patriots way in the match as they won three singles matches to clinch the match 5-1. Winning in singles were Johnnie Carmichael, Oscar Barreiro and David Barbieri. The other singles matches were not finished. Below are the singles results:
