Box Score BELLVILLE, Ill. – The William Woods University men's tennis team won its eighth match of the season on Wednesday afternoon as the Owls defeated Lindenwood University-Belleville, 8-1.
 
William Woods returns to action on Thursday, April 13th when they travel to St. Louis, Missouri to face St. Louis University.
 
The Owls jumped out to a quick lead in doubles action and never looked back. The doubles team of Christopher Vleeming Ortiz and Christian Barbieri won in No. 3 doubles, 8-1. WWU would take No. 2 doubles (Johnnie Carmichael and Oscar Donker), 9-7. They closed out the doubles by winning No. 1 with Stefan Simic and David Barbieri, 9-7. Full double results listed below:

William Woods kept the pedal to the medal and Oscar Donker won No. 5 singles putting the Owls ahead, 4-0. Oscar Barreiro clinched the match for the Owls as he won No. 2 singles extending the Owls lead to 5-0. Christian Barbieri grew the lead to 6-0 with a win in No. 1 singles. WWU's only dropped singles match would be No. 3 singles. WWU closed out the match by winning No. 4 singles (Christopher Vleeming Ortiz) and No. 6 singles (David Barbieri).
