Box Score ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The William Woods University men's tennis team defeated NCAA Division I St. Louis University, 4-3, on Thursday afternoon at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center.
 
WWU returns to action on Saturday, April 15th when they host Baker University at the Suzanne Neal Memorial Tennis Complex.
 
The Owls and Billikens played its doubles matches for one point today with the winner of two of the three matches getting one point. WWU took advantage early as No. 1 doubles team of David Barbieri and Stefan Simic won the first match of doubles and Oscar Barreiro and Johnnie Carmichael came and won No. 2 doubles giving the Owls one point in the match. The third doubles match did not finish. Full double results are below:

The Billikens came back and won the first two single matches taking a 2-1 lead over the Owls. St. Louis took No. 5 and No. 6 doubles. After taking a 2-1 lead, WWU answered back taking No. 3 singles with Christopher Vleeming Ortiz and No. 4 singles with Johnnie Carmichael. WWU clinched the match when Oscar Barreiro won in No. 2 singles. St. Louis took the last point of the day in No. 1 singles and the Owls came away with a 4-3 victory. Full singles results below:
