KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Duarte Melo won all three singles matches, and all three doubles matches against (RV) Bethel (Kan.), (RV) McPherson (Kan.), and (RV) Goshen (Ind.) this past week, taking home the NAIA Men's Tennis Player of the Week award. 

The senior spearheaded the Owls' triumphs, winning all six matches he played in, as WWU toppled three teams currently receiving votes in the NAIA Top 25 Men's Tennis Poll.

The Owls are 8-3 on the year and 2-0 in conference play. They return for a reserve match on Friday at Southwest Illinois Community College, followed by a home matchup against Concordia (Neb.) on Saturday.
