Softball Hosts St. Louis Pharmacy on Saturday for Senior Day

FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University softball team returns to Owl Field on Saturday, April 15th when they host St. Louis College of Pharmacy in American Midwest Conference action. First pitch is set for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The Owls will also be celebrating their seniors for senior day.
 
About the Owls
- The Owls have an overall record of 21-18 with an AMC record of 7-9
- On Tuesday, the Owls split with No.2 Columbia. WWU took game one, 4-3, before dropping game two, 7-5
- William Woods plays at Lindenwood-Belleville on Friday afternoon prior to hosting St. Louis Pharmacy
- Offensively, the Owls are ranked seventh in triples with 17, with Hannah Campbell leading the Owls with five, ranking her at eighth in the NAIA
- Campbell also leads the Owls in hits with 52 on the season and has a .394 batting average
- The Owls are hitting a .263 in the AMC compared to opponents .248
- William Woods have gathered a total of 63 runs, 110 hits, 17 doubles, five triples, nine homeruns, 57 RBIs, and an OBP of .301 in conference action this season
- As a pitching staff, the Owls have an ERA of 2.26 compared to opponent 3.26. The Owls have collected 54 strikeouts, with Madison Ausfahl leading with 38 averaging 4.5 strikeouts per start
 
About the Eutectics
- The Eutectics are 2-18 overall and are winless, 0-14, in the AMC this season
- St. Louis Pharmacy hosts Park on Friday prior to coming to WWU
- On April 11th, Pharmacy was swept by Missouri Baptist in AMC action
- Lauren Wright is leading the offense with a batting average of .353 with 18 hits
- Wright also leads the Eutectics in RBIs, as she as driven in eight on the season
- Allison Dewald leads the pitching staff in batters struck out with 38, averaging 4.67 per start
- St. Louis Pharmacy is averaging 3.1 errors per game, which rank them fifth in the NAIA
- The Eutectics have not won since, March 4th when they opened the season with a doubleheader sweep of NCAA Division III Blackburn College. Since the sweep the Eutectics have lost 18 in a row
 
What's Next
The Owls will head out to Saint Louis, Missouri to play AMC doubleheader against Harris-Stowe State University on Monday, April 17th. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
