FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University men's and women's tennis programs head to Olathe, Kan. to participate in the Heart of America/American Midwest Conference Unaffiliated Group Tournament this weekend.

On the women's side, the Owls enter the tournament with an 8-9 record on the season. WWU has won its last two matches, including its last match over Missouri Valley College, 7-2, on Tuesday, April 18th. William Woods is the tournament's top seed and will play the winner of the No. 8 and No. 9 seed match.

Zlata Shuraeva finds herself dropping six spots this ranking to No. 26 in singles.
On the men's side, the Owls enter the tournament with an 11-5 record on the season. This season they set school records, jumping to No. 8 in the NAIA Men's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 poll. The men's team enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed and will play the winner of Missouri Baptist and Baker University.
