FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University women's basketball team is set to host Faculty Appreciation Night on Thursday evening as they open American Midwest Conference against Park University. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.

Tonight the Owls are celebrating Faculty Appreciation Night. Each of the 12 new faculty will be honored during halftime of the women's and men's game.
There is no admission being taken at the games for tonight. The $6.00 charge will resume on November 29 when the Owls host Columbia College.

About Park
Park enters the contest with a 1-2 record. They opened the season with a two-point loss to Evangel. After defeating Ottawa (Kan.) in their second game, they looked to avenge their loss to Evangel. Evangel defeated Park by 17 in their second go-round.
Junior transfer Destinee Robinson currently leads the Pirates with 30 points with 22 coming from the season-opener against Evangel. Junior transfer Sarah Lamp leads the Pirates under the basket with 29 rebounds.
Park returns AMC All-Freshman and AMC Honorable Mention player Krystal Forrester. She is currently sitting with 24 rebounds and 22 points with four blocks.
About William Woods
The Owls enter the contest with a 3-2 mark. They are coming off two losses after a 3-0 start to the season.
Kayce Gerald leads the team with 34 rebounds and is averaging 12 points per game. Her 16 steals to-date rank her 13
th in the nation. Gerald is also ranked for her assists (30
th – 18), steals per game (41
st – 3.2) and total rebounds (46
th – 34).
Peyton Greenlee is currently leading the Owl's offensive efforts with 72 points, landing her 30
th in the nation for total points. She is averaging 14.4 points per game and ranks 44
th with her nine three-pointers.
The team has 13 top-50 rankings for the NAIA.
Against the Pirates
The Owls hold a 49-4 advantage over Park. The first meeting was on Feb. 8, 1986 when Park defeated the Owls 69-56. The Owls are currently on an 11-game winning streak.
In the last outing on January 20, 2018, the Owls defeated Park in Anderson Arena, 62-59.
Kaycee Gerald scored a floor-high 16 points with
Peyton Greenlee added 12. The Owl's strong 22-7 third quarter run brought the team back in the game and helped push them to their 13
th win of the season.
What's Next
Following the home contest against the Pirates, WWU hits the road for two games. WWU will travel to Stephens College on Saturday, Nov. 17, for a 1 p.m. tip-off. Following Thanksgiving break, the Owls will travel to Macomb, Ill. on Nov. 26 for a 7 p.m. tip-off with Western Illinois University.
