FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University softball team hosts the WWU Fulton Medical Center Invitational on Saturday, February 17 and Sunday, February 18. The Owls will face the Chargers of Briar Cliff University and the Maple Leafs of Goshen College.

- WWU enters the weekend with a 2-2 overall record after their trip to Fort Worth, Texas last weekend
- William Woods is 11th in the NAIA in triples with two in the season. Ali Massey and
Bri Devellano claim one triple apiece

- Their solo win came against Oklahoma Panhandle State, with a score of 5-3 on February 9
- The Chargers are fourth in the nation in caught stealing, being put-out three times
- Briar Cliff is 11th in the nation in triples with two in the season; Isabella Gonzalez claims both an NAIA rank of No. 2
- Gonzalez also leads the Chargers in batting average with a .455 in the season with five hits and three runs
- Following Gonzalez in batting average for the Chargers is Codie Fineran who is hitting .364
- Lanae Shiley is leading the Chargers in strikeouts with 10 in the season and has an ERA of 2.21. The Chargers pitching staff has an ERA of 4.85 compared to opponent 1.68 ERA
