Box Score BOLIVAR, Mo. – The William Woods University men's tennis team, sponsored by Fulton Medical Center, had its three-game winning streak snapped by NCAA Division II Southwest Baptist University, 7-2, on Wednesday afternoon.

WWU feel behind early in the contest as the Bearcats took No. 1 and No. 3 doubles by the scores of 8-3. WWU claimed one point in doubles as
Javier Callejo and
Christopher Vleeming Ortiz won in No. 2 doubles with a score of 9-8.
Southwest Baptist claimed the first two singles matches as they won No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-2 and No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-1, taking a 4-1 lead over the Owls. SBU clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-3, win in No. 5 singles.
WWU got its second point of the match when
Christopher Vleeming Ortiz came away with a 6-1, 7-6, victory in No. 3 singles. Vleeming Ortiz was the only single point the Owls would get as they would be defeated by the Bearcats, 7-2.
WWU returns to action on Saturday, March 17 when they host Freed-Hardeman at the Suzanne Neal Memorial Tennis Complex.
