FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University softball team hosts Missouri Baptist University on Friday for American Midwest Conference action at 2 and 4 p.m. and Harris-Stowe State University on Saturday at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
Friday is the Owls annual "Think Pink" contests and Saturday the Owls will honor its seniors between games. Friday's contests against Missouri Baptist is also the AMC Softball Game of the Week.
About the Owls
- WWU enters the contest with a 14-12 overall record and are 7-3 in the AMC
-The Owls are 4th in the NAIA in triples collecting 14 in the season.
Emma Walker leads the team with four triples which is 10th best in the NAIA
- The Owls defense is 38th in the nation with a fielding percentage of 0.959
- WWU's offense is 46th in the NAIA in RBIs collecting 136 in the season and are 47th in runs batted in per game, averaging 5.23 runs

Emily Robinett leads the Owls in batting with 34 hits and has a batting average of .430. She also has scored 21 runs, hit four doubles, collected 13 RBIs and eight walks. Robinett has a slugging percentage of .481 and an on base percentage of .495

Amanda Bouchey leads the Owls in RBIs collecting 16 on the season
- The Owls have a team batting average of a .315 compared to opponent .300
- The WWU pitching staff has an ERA of 4.24 compared to opponent 4.63

About the Spartans
- The Spartans are 18-7 overall and are currently 6-2 in the AMC
- MBU is ranked eighth in the nation in doubles per game averaging 2.16 doubles and are 21st in the nation in doubles collecting 54 doubles in the season. Ally Gisher leads the team with nine doubles
-The pitching staff is 13th in the NAIA in ERA with a 1.93
- They are also 18th in the NAIA in batters struck out with 143 in the nation
- Delissa Dennison leads the Spartans with 43 strikeouts averaging 7.92 strikeouts per appearance
- Caitlin McNiff is 11th in the nation in homeruns with eight in the season. McNiff also leads the Spartans in runs batted in per game with 1.29, 15th best in the nation
- McNiff is also leading the Spartans in batting average with a 0.460 collecting 29 hits and 31 RBI's
- Bailey Koester leads the Spartan pitching staff with a 1.72 ERA and is 28th in the nation in hits allowed per game with 5.09. Opponents are hitting 0.203 against Koester, 30th best in the NAIA
About the Hornets
- The Hornets come into the weekend with a record of 1-6 and 1-3 in AMC action
- Harris-Stowe dropped its last two games when Lincoln University swept them in a doubleheader
- The Hornets last win cam on March 21st when they defeated St. Louis Pharmacy 14-5
- Leading the Hornets at the plate is Cassidy Williams who is hitting .500 on the season. She is 10-for-20 this season
- Williams leads the team with five RBIs on the season
- The Hornets have seven extra base hits, five doubles and two triples
- As a team, Harris-Stowe is hitting .276. They have scored 26 runs this season
- Sophia Chamberlain leads the team with an ERA of 4.69. She has pitched 28.1 innings on the season
- Opponents are hitting .354 against the Hornets this season

Following this weekends contests, the Owls return to action on Tuesday, April 3rd when they travel to Columbia, Missouri to face eighth ranked Columbia College. First-pitch is set for 2 p.m.
