Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. – The William Woods University men's tennis team was defeated by No. 6 Lindsey Wilson College on Sunday afternoon. The Owls were defeated by the Blue Raiders, 5-3.

The Owls and Blue Raiders split No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. The Owls dropped No. 1 doubles, 8-3 before coming back taking No. 2 doubles. Javier Callejo and Christopher Vleeming Ortiz won 8-3. The third doubles came down to a tie breaker, however, the Owls came up just short and the Blue Raiders led 2-1 after doubles.
 
The Owls claimed two more points in singles action. Javier Callejo took No. 1 singles over Denis Porcic in three sets. Callejo dropped set one before winning the next two sets. WWU's final point of the day came in No. 4 singles. Christopher Vleeming Ortiz defeated Steven Espinoza, 6-1, 6-0.
 
Lindsey Wilson claimed the win in No. 2 singles and No. 3 singles. WWU was defeated by No. 6 Lindsey Wilson, 5-3.
 
William Woods returns to action on Monday, March 5th when they face No. 1 Georgia Gwinnett College. The match against the Grizzlies is set to start at 10 a.m. ET.
