Box Score SPRINGFILED, Mo. – The William Woods volleyball team was defeated by RV Evangel University 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-13) on Tuesday evening.

Game Flow
The Owls started of the match with a kill from Jaclyn Zahn, 1-0.
 
The Crusaders went on a 4-0 run with two service aces and two kills, 7-2.
 
The Owls were able to come within three with five straight kills, 10-7.
 
A dual block by Hannah Kuehl and Kate Doerhoff gave the Owls their final push of the set, 15-10.
 
The Crusaders extended their lead as they went on a 5-0 run, 22-13.
 
Evangel took the first set, 25-15.
 
The Owls came out of the gates strong to start the second set. A kill from Lanie Lowry started the Owls 3-0 run, 3-0.
 
The Crusaders slowly made their way into the match tying it up, 4-4.
 
The Owls and Crusaders went back-and-forth for the lead, but eventually Evangel took control, 14-9.
 
A kill by Zahn and Lowry put the Owls within three, 14-11.
 
The Crusaders would maintain the lead the rest of the set winning, 25-17.
The Owls took a 2-1 advantage to start the third set with a kill by Doerhoff, 2-1.
 
An attack error by the Owls put the Crusaders on top, 5-4.
 
Back-to-back kills for William Woods put the Owls back within two, 8-6.
 
The Crusaders slowly extended their lead, 15-9.
 
The Owls were only able to pick up four more points in the set. This gave the Crusaders a 25-13 third set victory.
