Box Score 2 CHICKASHA, Okla. – The William Woods University softball team suffered two losses at the World Series Preview presented by Double Tree Sunday. The Owls opened the day with a 13-0 five-inning loss to Mount Marty College (S.D.). They followed with a 3-1 loss to Friends University (Kan.), bringing them to 2-6 on the season.
The Owls will begin their spring break trip at The Spring Games in Clermont, Fla. on Sunday, March 3. The Owls will play seven games over the five-day span.

MMC scored three in the top of the second and two more in the fourth inning to take a 5-0 lead.
In the top of the fifth, MMC put up eight runs to take a 13-0 lead.
In the bottom of the fifth,
Chyann Hockett led off hit double. After two fly outs, she was moved to third on Anna Count's single, but both runners were left stranded as a ground out ended the inning and game.
Brittany Roady pitched 4.0 innings and was credited with the loss.

The Owls got on the board first as
Amanda Bouchey hit a single.
Lindy Wilson came in to run for Bouchey after she got hit. She stole second and was brought home on
Ari Arnold's double. Arnold was left stranded as a ground out ended the inning.
Friends scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, taking a 3-1 lead.
The Owls were unable to get a runner on base in the sixth and seventh, ending the game with a 3-1 loss.
Madison Ausfahl pitched the complete game and struck out three.
