ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The top-four seeds of the American Midwest Conference (AMC) women's basketball postseason tournament, will compete in the semifinals on Friday.
The semifinals round will be hosted at the higher seeds – Freed-Hardeman and Columbia. The winners of the two semifinal games will move on to the championship game on Monday, March 4.
Freed-Hardeman (regular-season champions) has earned the AMC's first automatic bid to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Division I Women's Basketball National Championship in Billings, Mont. The second automatic berth from the AMC will go to the tournament champion. If Freed-Hardeman wins the tournament, the second automatic bid will go to the tournament runner-up.  
 
Game 5: No. 1-seed Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions vs. No. 4-seed William Woods Owls

• The Lady Lions swept the season series over William Woods, winning 78-47 on Dec. 13 on their home court and 55-53 on Jan. 31 in Fulton.
• In game one, the Lady Lions forced 20 turnovers.
• Sandrea Sylman has played well against the Owls this season. In two games she has a total of 36 points, ten rebounds, seven assists and four steals.
• Freed-Hardeman enters the game after defeating 8-seed Harris-Stowe, 74-49.
• The Owls held off Williams Baptist comeback attempt in the quarterfinals, winning 72-66.
