Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BELLEVILLE, Ill. – The William Woods University men's tennis team grabbed two wins on Wednesday to improve to 14-2 on the season. They began the day with a 7-2 win over RV Lindenwood University-Belleville. Following the first match, the Owls faced NCAA Division II McKendree University. Playing by NCAA DII rules, the Owls grabbed the 6-1 win.

Next up for the Owls is a neutral match versus RV Texas A&M-Texarkana on Thursday, April 11, at 3 p.m.

Men's Tennis vs. RV Lindenwood-Belleville
The Owls won all three in doubles play to take a 3-0 lead heading into singles. Aaron Westerlund and Javier Callejo in the No. 1 doubles and Zach Frisbie and Jesus Amezcua in the No. 2 doubles grabbed 8-5 wins. In the No. 3 doubles, Oscar Barreiro and Christopher Vleeming Ortiz won 8-4.

Christopher Vleeming Ortiz in the No. 2 singles and Jesus Amezcua in the No. 3 singles grabbed 6-4, 6-1 wins. Patrick Shelepov (No. 5) and Nathan Cooke (No. 6) closed out the match with an 8-5 and 8-1 win, respectively.

Men's Tennis vs. McKendree
In their second match of the day, the Owls took on NCAA Division II McKendree University. The Owls came out with the doubles point after going 2-1. Aaron Westerlund and Javier Callejo in the No. 2 doubles and Christopher Vleeming Ortiz and Zach Frisbie in the No. 3 doubles each won 6-2.

In singles play, the Owls won five of the six points to clinch the win. Callejo battled it out  in the No. 1 singles for a 6-2, 5-7, 10-8 win. Antoine Maraval won 8-4 in the No. 2 singles, and Zach Frisbie swept his opponent in the No. 3 singles, 8-0. Patrick Shelepov won 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 4 singles, and Juan Esteban Duran grabbed the final point in the No. 6 singles.
