Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The No. 9 William Woods University men's tennis team won their ninth straight with a 7-2 win over RV Texas A&M – Texarkana Thursday afternoon. The Owls improve to 15-2 on the season.

The Owls went 2-1 in doubles play. In the No. 3 doubles, Christopher Vleeming Ortiz and Zach Frisbie grabbed an 8-2 win. In the No. 2 doubles, the Javier Callejo and Aaron Westerlund duo pulled out a 9-7 victory.
 
The Owls won five of the six singles to clinch the 7-2 win. Callejo in the No. 1 singles won 6-4, 7-5. Jesus Amezcua in the No. 3 singles and Patrick Shelepov in the No. 6 singles each grabbed 6-3, 6-4 wins. Westerlund defeated his opponent in the No. 4 spot, 7-6, 6-3. Sam Bird won the final point for the Owls with a 7-6, 4-6, 13-11 score in the No. 5 singles.
 
 
The Owls play their final road match of the regular season at No. 24 Missouri Valley College on Sunday, April 14, at 10:30 a.m.
