Box Score FULTON, Mo. –The No. 9 William Woods men's tennis team took an 8-1 victory over Missouri Baptist on Monday afternoon. The Owls improve to 16-2 on the season with a current win streak of ten.

The Owls swept doubles play, going 3-0 into singles action. Aaron Westurland and Javier Callejo battled out a 9-8 win over their opponents in the No. 1 spot. The duo of Zach Frisbie and Jesus Amezuca achieved an 8-2 victory in the No. 2 spot. In the No. 3 spot, Christopher Vleeming Ortiz and Oscar Barreiro took care of business with an 8-0 win.
 
The Owls took five of the six singles matches to obtain the victory. Antoine Maraval claimed a 6-4, 6-1 over his opponent in the No. 2 spot. In the No. 3 spot, Patrick Shelepov downed his opponent 6-4, 6-1. Jesus Amezcua went away with a 6-4, 6-0 victory in the No. 4 spot. Nathan Cooke fought for a 6-3, 9-5 win in the No. 5 spot. Juan Esteban Duran came up with an easy, 6-0, 6-1 defeat over his opponent.
 
The Owls will return to action, Tuesday, April 16, against Missouri Valley and will look to extend their winning streak to 11.
