Owls Tennis Prepares for AMC/HAAC Tournament

FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University Men's Tennis team opens the quarterfinal round of the AMC/HAAC Men's Tennis Championships Friday afternoon. WWU was seeded No. 1 overall and will face No. 8 St. Louis College of Pharmacy in the first round.  The first match is scheduled for 8 a.m. at Tower Grove Park.

About St. Louis Pharmacy
The Eutectics enter the tournament 4 -11 overall and 0-4 in the American Midwest Conference. During the month of April, the Eutectics finished 1 -4. Their only win come against Fontbonne University went they defeated them 9-0. Their three losses came against Missouri Baptist, Freed-Hardeman and Lindenwood-Belleville. 
 
At the 2017-2018 AMC/HAAC tournament, St. Louis Pharmacy fell 6-0 to William Woods in the opening round.
 
About William Woods
WWU enters the tournament 18-2 overall and 4-0 in the AMC. Their only losses are against No. 8 Xavier University (LA.) and No. 9 William Carey. Before the back to back losses the Owls were on six game winning streak. Since then the Owls have won 10 straight games.
 
Last season, William Woods advanced to the NAIA National Tournament in Mobile, Ala. They were eliminated in the quarterfinals round by Georgia Gwinnett College 5-0 in the opening round.
