Owls Prepare for the College of the Ozarks Tournament

FULTON, Mo. – William Woods University Women's Volleyball returns to action this weekend as they prepare to play in the College of the Ozarks Tournament. They open tournament play Sept. 13th as they face Tabor College (Kan.). First serve is set for 3 p.m.
 
The Owls will play a total of four games in the two-day tournament. In their second match of the first day, they will face Oklahoma Wesleyan University at 7 p.m. On Saturday they match up against Southwestern Christian University and close the tournament against host College of the Ozarks.
 
Teams

William Woods – The Owls enter the tournament snapping a four-game losing streak. On Monday, Sept. 11th WWU defeated Culver-Stockton 3-0 which put them at 5-8 on the season.

So far WWU has competed against six nationally ranked teams one in which they defeated No. 15 The Master's University (Calif.) 3-2.

Tabor – Tabor College also sits at 5-8 entering the tournament. Their last time out they fell 0-3 to No. 14 Hastings College. Prior to the loss they captured their 5th win of the season on Sept. 7th when they defeated Roosevelt University 3-2.

Oklahoma Wesleyan – The Eagles are coming off a three-game winning streak with wins coming over Lyon, Tri Match (DCC) and Langston University. They also sit in 5th place in the KCAC.

Southwestern – Southwestern comes into the tournament 3-5 overall. On Aug. 24th they defeated Paul Quinn (TX) 3-0, before suffering a four-game losing streak. Their last time out, they defeated USAO 3-0.

College of the Ozarks – Host College of the Ozark currently sits at 4-6 overall. They are coming off a two-game losing streak with loses coming from Evangel University (3-1) and Culver-Stockton (3-2).
