Box Score 2 FORT WORTH, Texas – The William Woods University softball team went 0-2 on the final day of the NAIA Cowtown Classic. The Owls drop to 1-4 on the season with Saturday's 7-6 and 11-3 losses.
The Owls next compete at the Evangel Doubletree Preseason Round Robin on Feb. 14-15.

TC took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first with back-to-back doubles.
In the bottom of the second, the Owls evened the score with
Devyn Burton's RBI single to score
Madison Ausfahl.
TC took a 4-1 lead in the top of the third.
The Owls countered in the bottom of the inning with five to take up a 6-4 lead.
Sydney Wilbeck led off the inning with a walk. She moved to second on
Anna Counts' error and scored on
Annika Ramon's single. With Counts on third, a second TC error helped bring Counts home and move Ramon to third. Burton recorded her second hit of the day with a two RBI single to score Ramon and
Abbi Pringer. Burton was then brought home with
Bri Devellano's double.
TC scored one in the top of the fifth and tied the game in the sixth.
In the top of the seventh, TC led off with a walk and scored on an RBI double to take a 7-6 lead.
The Owls were held to just one hit in the bottom of the seventh, ending the game with a 7-6 loss.
Burton went 3-for-3 from the plate with a double, two RBI and one run scored.
Alexis Hassler pitched the first two innings.
Mychael Jett (1-1) came in as relief and pitched the remaining five innings.

The Owls took an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first with a two RBI double from Burton, scoring Ramon and Pringer.
In the top of the third, BC took a 3-2 lead with a two RBI double and an RBI single.
The Owls evened the score in the bottom of the inning on a dropped third strike catcher's error.
BC scored five in the fourth to take an 8-3 lead. They added two more in the fifth and one in the sixth to go up 11-3.
The Owls were unable to score in the bottom of the sixth to head into the seventh inning, ending the game with an 11-3 six inning loss.
Burton went 3-for-3 with a double, and Pringer went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored.
Kenzie Ausfahl (0-1) was credited with the loss.
Madison Ausfahl came in as relief in the fourth inning and struck out two.
