FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University men's tennis team has inked five players for the 2020-21 class, announced first-year head coach Chance Joost. 

Mladen Novovic
Montenegro
Major – Exercise Science
"Mladen is a guy who we will be looking at to really step in and play early and probably play top 3-4 in the lineup early. I've got a lot of confidence in his ability to do so. After our first conversation, I knew he was the type of kid I wanted on my team. His priorities are in the right place and he seems to be very good at communicating. I'm excited to get him on campus and see his talent is person."


Isaiah Buse
Houston, Mo.
Houston High School
Major – Communications-Mass Media
"Isaiah is one of two Americans we've signed so far, and he is such a great kid. Isaiah won the annual McNutt Scholarship here at William Woods which just tells you the kind of commitment he puts into being a student-athlete. He is another kid with a huge upside and just hasn't even begun to touch his potential on the court so I'm very excited to get to work with him in the fall."


Vitek Subert

Major – Business Administration
"Vitek is a very dedicated student-athlete, and it showed when he came to visit schools all the way from the Czech Republic. He's got tennis blood coursing through his veins. His dad is a player, and he was a good player at that. Vitek is someone who has a lot of potential untapped, and I can't wait to see where that potential leads."

"Landon is someone who I personally coached before coming to William Woods so we already have a great relationship. We both know how the other ticks and that's extremely helpful. Also, we've been through tough times together so I couldn't be more excited to have him join our team. I know he's got a ton of potential that he hasn't touched off the court as much as on the court so I'm extremely excited to do that."
