FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University softball team signed Kelsey Rose for the 2021-22 season, announced Head Coach
Tracy Gastineau.
"Kelsey is a catcher/utility infielder that will add depth to our program," stated Gastineau. "She is a hardworking and coachable player that we feel will continue to grow and be a positive addition to our team's culture of work ethic on the field and in the classroom.
In this past year's summer ball, Rose helped lead her team to two second place finishes at the VIP Heartland World Series and the Dick's Sporting Goods Gobbler Games. The team placed third at the VIP Series Christmas in July Tournament and Chuck's Midnight Madness.
During the shortened season, she played in 40 games. She held a .466 batting average with 28 hits and a .580 on base percentage.
Rose also played two years for the Buffalo High School Bison, lettered in marching band and received an academic letter.
Rose, the daughter of Ricky and Ilene Rose, intends to major in psychology.
