Box Score FULTON, Mo. - The No. 22 William Woods University men's tennis defeated NCAA Division 2 opponent University of Illinois Springfield Sunday afternoon, 4-2.The Owls moves to 6-2 on the season.
 
The Owls were unable to win the doubles point, winning only at No. 2 doubles.
 
Aaron Westerlund and Robert Schorr defeated Nick Revin and Matthew Lapsley 6-0, in No. 2 doubles.
 
In No. 1 singles, Patrick Shelepov won his match over Menno Servaes, 7-5, 4-6, 6-3. In No. 2 singles, Ben Grumley earned a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Tomas Martinez. Westerlund took a 6-4, 2-6, 7-5 victory over Revin, in No. 3 singles.. Vitek Subert fell to Rafa Rojas 5-7, 3-6, in No. 4 singles. Schorr defeated Oscar Toro 4-6, 6-0, 6-4, in No. 5 singles. 
 
Mladen Novovic's No. 6 singles match was unfinished, 7-5, 2-1.
 
The No. 22 Owls will compete next at home against Blue Mountain College on Friday, Mar. 26, at 11 a.m.
